Class Offerings and Details
All new clients, start here! Orientation
Orientation is required for all new clients before attending any of the classes below. We will get you started with everything you need to know to successfully join our group class program! Orientation takes about 15 to 20 minutes and can be done right on our website!
Puppy-hood is the most important time of any dog's life! It is between the ages of 4 and 12 weeks that the critical socialization window is open and puppies learn to be friendly with humans, children, and other dogs. However, socialization doesn't end at 12 weeks. It is important to keep exposing your puppy to other people and dogs throughout adolescence to ensure they stay social and appropriate. In addition to socialization, our classes will help with puppy problems, such as house training and puppy biting, and puppy obedience training.
Adult Dog Obedience Classes
Our Adult Dog Obedience Classes will teach you dog all of the basic obedience needed to be a good pet dog! At the end of our Adult Dog Obedience series, your dog will be ready to take the Canine Good Citizen exam. Topics covered in our adult dog classes include: name recognition, sit, down, stay, come, and loose leash walking. Classes should be taken in order; however, if you have a dog who is advanced, please feel free to contact us at [email protected] to see about testing out of any earlier levels.
Our mini-series classes are perfect if you want the most effective training in the shortest amount of time. We'll spend the weeks in the mini-series working hard for a concentrated and effective course. Mini-series will vary monthly, so if you don't see what you want this month, stay tuned!
Want to learn more about your dog? Seminars are offered monthly. They last for 1.5 hours and cover a wide range of topics. View our Group Class Schedule for current topics offered. Since we are so passionate about education, seminars are FREE of charge for rescue and shelter workers, volunteers, fosters, and new adopters!
